With the unveiling of today’s 2017 Autumn Budget and the announcement of bringing forward the way rateable values are levied based on CPI inflation rather than the current RPI index by two years, Hartnell Taylor Cook’s Head of Rating, Martin Davenport, said: “I am pleased to see that UBR will be based on CPI from 2018. The percentage rise this year was a staggering 3.9% so with CPI this should be less from 2018.
