Land at Western Approach, Severnside, Bristol
Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP undertook a targeted marketing exercise of 106 acres and agreed terms for the sale of the land at a figure of £32.5 million to Tesco.
Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP's Industrial Department advised Redrow Homes on the sale of 106 acres to Tesco's Spen Hill Developments and Santon Group Developments for a major new distribution hub.
The site is located adjoining Western Approach on Severnside, alongside the M49 at Pilning.
After a 9 month construction programme, Tesco's new 483,000 sq ft fresh food distribution centre opened in March 2010 and it is serving Tesco stores located across Wales and the south west. The new centre replaced Tesco's existing centre located in Chepstow, which Tesco has substantially outgrown.
