Boots the Chemist - Bath
Acquisition of two new stores in Bath for Boots the Chemist.
Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP’s retail team advised Boots the Chemist on its relocation negotiations with the developers to move from the company’s flagship store located at 1 Merchants Passage and the acquisition of their new store at 16-19 Stall Street, Bath.
The new store, located adjacent to Marks & Spencer, provides Boots the Chemist with a great solution for its temporary relocation. The unit is in a prime retail position with ground floor sales totalling 12,000 sq ft. Marks & Spencer took an assignment of the lease held by Clinton Cards, with ten years remaining on the lease.
The relocation was necessary due to the redevelopment of The Southgate Shopping Centre by Morley Fund Management and MULTI Developments.
Boots will take a new store within the new centre when it is completed in 2010.
