Capital & Regional has secured Primark and Lidl at its Mall Wood Green scheme in north London, while New Look is to double the size of its existing unit

Fashion retailer Primark will anchor the west side of the 700,000 sq ft scheme, which is held in Capital & Regional and Aviva Investors’ Mall fund, with a 75,000 sq ft, two-level unit that will open this month.

German discount supermarket Lidl has agreed to take the 14,500 sq ft store vacated by New Look, which is taking a 35,000 sq ft unit formerly occupied by Woolworths on a new 10-year lease.

This store, like Primark, will trade over two floors with entrances on both levels.

Argos, WH Smith and Next are among the retailers at the scheme.

The Mall fund has 20 malls worth £1.4bn. Capital & Regional is the fund’s asset manager and Aviva Investors is the fund manager.

Savills advised the Mall; Hartnell Taylor Cook LLP represented Primark; CB Richard Ellis advised New Look.
