Tesco Express to open second store in Bedminster, Bristol

Tesco Express, Tesco’s fastest growing format, is to open their second store within Bedminster, located approximately 1.5 miles to the south of Bristol City Centre.

The ground floor retail unit forms part of a modern four-storey development being undertaken by award winning developers, Firmac Developments. The upper floors will provide 19 contemporary apartments, designed around a courtyard and aimed at the first time buyers.

The new store will provide 3,440 sq ft, fronting the main link road, West Street and is to be occupied on a new 15-year lease at a commencing rental of £46,440 per annum.

This is the second scheme developed by Firmac Developments within which they have secured Tesco Express as an occupier, the first was in their award winning development, The Pantile, located on West Street, Bedminster. This opened in summer 2006 and has been trading very successfully.

Tesco Express is due to open in North Street in October 2008
