26 July 2021 – This month, we were delighted to secure a new letting at 33 Bristol, a recently-refurbished landmark office in Bristol. Domin, an innovative UK technology company, will be moving in to its new 4,451 sq. ft. office in October.
Investment group Topland purchased 33 Bristol last year and went on to complete its impressive £1 million refurbishment in October, progressing the work throughout the early months of the pandemic. Now, the refurbished building offers Domin a range of brand-new amenities that suit post-pandemic and sustainable occupier demand.
A high-growth enterprise, Domin’s aim is to create a better, more sustainable future for the hydraulics industry and together save one gigaton of CO2 every year by 2030. Its sustainable vision is now also supported by the environmental credentials of its new office, which boasts energy efficient air conditioning and charging spaces for electric cars as well as high specification changing and shower facilities coupled with 78 bicycle parking spaces to promote a greener commute.
For Domin, this office move marks another exciting step in its mission to create a brighter, more positive future, and we are delighted to have supported this journey.
Domin’s move follows a successful run of recent lettings in the building, as 2,175 sq. ft. of the ground floor and 1,608 sq. ft. of the basement have now been let. The building has also seen the opening of the Orega Centre, which covers 22,564 sq. ft of the second and first floors. Now, only one office is available for lease, a 5,571 sq ft. suite on the 4th floor.
Chris Grazier, Office Agency Partner at Hartnell Taylor Cook commented:
“Following our work on 33 Bristol’s refurbishment last year, the building now really embodies post-pandemic occupier demand and we are delighted that a forward-thinking company like Domin will be able to benefit from its new sustainable features as employees head back to the office this summer. We’re thrilled to be supporting such an innovative business with its post-pandemic recovery.”
Steve Pope, Group Director Property/Asset Management at Topland says
“We are delighted to see Domin join our roster of occupiers at 33 Bristol and their profile fits well with contemporary exposed services fit out we have undertaken on the top floor. Our success on the leasing front vindicates Topland’s decision to proceed with this major refurbishment/repositioning of 33 through the worst of the pandemic and justifies our acquisition of a predominantly vacant building in Autumn 2019, with only 1 small suite remaining to be let.”
Marcus Pont, CEO of Domin, also said of the move:
“The high spec refurbishment of 33 Bristol aligns really well with Domin’s vision of becoming a world leading company. We are really grateful to Hartnell Taylor Cook for making this happen and all of us at Domin can’t wait to occupy such a great office space.”
